Hi!
I am Viyath Yapa Abeywardena from West London, United Kingdom and at the time of creating this website, I am a 12-year-old at secondary school.
I have a great passion for maths, music, cycling, go-karting and most of all, engineering.
I play both guitar and piano daily and never lost my interest in coming up with my own variations to famous melodies. In short, I am experimenting with my own methods.
I have my own YouTube channel in which I share some of my guitar tunes. In due course, I am planning to add piano tunes to it as well.
I am the lead guitarist in my school band and in 2021 we managed to become the top winner of the annual band competition of my school, despite us being from a Year-9 class.
In addition to music, I find computer programming interesting, and a satisfying way to spend time, and have mastered HTML, JavaScript, CSS and of course, Python. Having an interest in maths helps here, as I achieved a grade of A* in an iGCSE paper held out of school in Y10.
I am proud of producing a helicopter animation from scratch using JavaScript during the Covid-19 lockdown, when I had a lot of time on my hand.
